HMRC challenges tax treatment of Double cab vans

A recent case has come to light where HMRC have challenged the normal treatment of vans and pick ups fitted with a second row of seats. An already grey area with no apparent definitive ruling by HMRC just seems to have become even more confused and murkier, with differing treatment already existing between the treatment of these vehicles for income tax and hence benefit in kind assessments and VAT.
